We are very much looking forward to welcoming your child to Milton Primary in August.  

Our 'Rising 5' afternoons will be on Thursday 28th May at 1.30pm and Thursday 4th June at 1.30pm. At these events, children have the chance to meet their teacher and their new friends. We ask that children are dropped off at 1.30pm and can be collected again at 2.30pm. 

On Thursday 11th June at 11.45am, we will invite Parents and Carers along with their child. The child will have the chance to eat a school lunch with their P7 Buddy while Mrs James, our Head Teacher, speaks to the parents and carers.

Please note these dates and times are subject to change and will be confirmed closer to May 2026.

Top Tips for Parents/Carers before Primary 1!

• Make sure your child knows what their own belongings look like.

• Label all of your child's belongings including school bag, jacket, all items of uniform, PE Kit, indoor shoes, outdoor shoes, packed lunch boxes and water bottles.

• Provide your child with velcro shoes for indoor shoes - these will also be your child's Gym shoes.

• If your child is a school dinner, make sure they know what meal to choose and if they are a packed lunch, discuss what is in their packed lunch.

• Provide a snack for playtime - Milton is a nut-free school so please do not send any nut containing snacks. These include KInder and Bueno products. One snack is usually sufficient - a piece of fruit, packet of crisps.
