New S3 trip to Science Centre
Our new S3 Physics classes are invited to attend a visit to Glasgow Science Centre on Tuesday 6th June. The trip will be from 9am-3pm and the cost will be £6, payable by ParentPay.
If your child has chosen to study Physics in S3 and wishes to attend, please return the permission slip and payment by Friday 2nd June at the latest. If the cost is prohibitive, please speak to your child's Pupil Support teacher regarding this. Late payments will not be accepted.
Full school uniform and packed lunches are required. If your child is in receipt of free school meals and would like a packed lunch, please speak to Mrs Leitch, Ms Cairns or Mr Allinson in the Physics Department to organise these.
Tuesday 23rd May
Our uniform supplier Logoxpres will be in school on Tuesday 13th June to provide a uniform fitting service for all young people.
We also have an excellent uniform recycling programme where young people can access all parts of the school uniform.
At Holy Cross High School we are very proud of our school uniform. Our uniform gives us a sense of identity and belonging to our school community and provides a consistent standard for all young people.
All young people are expected to wear full school uniform every day, which includes
blazer
school tie
white shirt
plain black jumper
black trousers or skirt (tartan skirt in senior school)
black shoes
On the 13th June, students in the new S5 will have the opportunity to be fitted as they will wear the senior uniform from August. Anyone else who needs a new blazer can come along to the fitting and either order one from our supplier or get one from our uniform recycling stock.
Leggings, hoodies, jogging bottoms, leather and denim jackets, gilets and non-black shoes are not part of our uniform and should not be worn to school. These casual items of clothing are not consistent with the high standards and aspirational attainment levels we set for all our young people.
If anyone needs support with any items of school uniform please speak to any member of the Pupil Support Team or any Depute Head Teacher.
