Reasons behind School Uniform
SAFETY - It is important that we can identify our pupils easily.
IDENTITY - 'We are Calderglen' and we would like our pupils to be proud of their school and feel a real part of their school community.
EQUALITY - In Calderglen, we are all equal and through wearing school uniform we can further enhance this.
White shirt and school tie
Black Trousers (for males or females)
ALL Black shoes or trainers with no other colour in them
Desirable/Acceptable Uniform
All black jumper/cardigan/half zip fleece
White shirt and collar suitable for wearing with a school tie
School tie - Junior pupils blue tie
- Senior pupils black ties
V - Neck Jumper - In order that ties are visable
Black trousers - this is acceptable for both male and females
All black shoes or trainers with no other colour in them.
Unacceptable Clothing to be worn within the school building
Black shoes or trainers that have any other colours in them including white soles
A jumper / cardigan / half zip fleece that has any other colour apart from black (apart from a very small logo on the front e.g. 10p size for example)
