Mrs. Allison Luker

By: Benjamin and Eva, 4th Grade

Mrs. Allson Luker has been married for ten years and she just celebrated her anniversary. She has a daughter named Madeline, who is twelve and a son named Jason, who is nine. She also has one fish, one cat, and one bunny. Mrs. Luker likes to be outside and to be with friends. One of the reasons that Mrs. Luker loves the Skykomish Community is because we have a small school with low crime. Additionally, Mrs. Luker also enjoys knowing the community members and being an active member in her community.

Mrs. Luker hasn’t lived in Skykomish all her life. She has also lived in Lake Forest Park, Whidbey Island and Edmonds. Her favorite food is crab cakes.

In 1995 Mrs. Luker moved to Skykomish and graduated from Skykomish High School in 2000. While attending Skykomish High School she played basketball, volleyball and was a cheerleader. She moved away and then moved back to Skykomish in 2008.

Mrs. Luker first started working in the Skykomish School District in the 2013-2014 school year. She volunteered in preschool with Madeline and she enjoyed working with Teacher Edie as an assistant.

Now Mrs. Luker is the District's preschool teacher. She loves being a teacher. She loves to learn and she loves to encourage children to be natural learners, "It is the kids' first education and learning opportunity," she says. According to Mrs. Luker, "It is the best job in the world!"

Mrs. Luker enjoys that she gets to be a kid too, and she loves it! She has not taught or been a teacher for any other grades, but she does work as a paraeducator for multiple grades to help support student learning.

Thank you Mrs. Luker!
