Catholic Schools Week
Catholic Schools Week runs from Sunday, January 29 to Saturday, February 4. Please see what we have planned during the school week! Our dress down days can be found here; please keep in mind our charity dress guidelines. We would love to have your students participate in as much as possible as we celebrate Catholic schools. Please note parents/guardians are invited to join for our Monday Mass at 10:15 a.m.
SC Day of Giving 2023
Skutt Catholic's SC Day of Giving 2023 is set for Tuesday, January 31. Held each year during Catholic Schools Week, the SC Day of Giving is a 24-hour fundraising event that brings donors, alumni, volunteers, and the Skutt Catholic community together around a common cause, with proceeds benefiting the SkyHawk Fund. Click HERE to learn more and support your SkyHawks on January 31!
Skutt Catholic Cares Drive
The Skutt Catholic Cares Drive kicks off Monday, January 30 and runs through Wednesday, February 15. The drive is sponsored by Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and Campus Ministry. We are collecting nonperishable food items to be donated to the Food Bank for the Heartland and diapers (Size 1) for the Christ Child Society of Omaha layette project.
The drive is a student competition among HawkTimes and grades. Students should drop off donations in their HawkTimes (homerooms). Each food item is one point, except mac and cheese is double points! Diapers will earn one point per five diapers. The top HawkTimes win donuts and the top grades get a free dress day, if they donated! Thank you Skutt Catholic families for your support!
Superstar Catholic School Contest
There’s just something special about being a SkyHawk...vote now to make YOUR Skutt Catholic the Superstar Catholic School in the Spirit Catholic Radio Superstar Catholic School contest. The winning school gets $1,000 of on-air promotion, a LIVE interview, a prayer card for each student and, of course, bragging rights! Vote now: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/superstar2023.
Winter Formal
Winter Formal will be held on February 11, 8 -11 p.m. in the commons. Students must arrive by 9 p.m. and cannot leave until 10 p.m. There is no re-entrance once a student has left. Dress is semi-formal to formal. Tickets are $10 and will be sold during lunches (through FACTS) the week of February 6.
Yearbook Opt Out Form
All Skutt Catholic students will receive the outstanding 2022-2023 SkyHawk Yearbook and have the cost of $85 added to their FACTS account February 28 with funds being pulled on March 10, unless a parent/guardian completes this form to opt out of purchasing a 2022-23 Yearbook. If you want your child/children who are students at Skutt Catholic to get a yearbook you do not need to do anything or complete this form. Only complete this form if you DO NOT want a yearbook for your child. If you have more than 1 child at Skutt Catholic who you do not want to get the yearbook, then fill out a separate form for each child. Questions? Contact Jennie Wilson at jenniewilson@skuttcatholic.com.
Stock the Staff Lounge Donations
At the beginning of each semester, the SkyHawk Association invites families to provide food and drink donations to stock the staff lounge at school. Teachers and staff are always grateful for the extra snacks to help get them through the day! If you would like to contribute, Click HERE to sign up to donate requested items.
