Just a quick reminder that every Skutt Catholic student has free access to OnToCollege's full test prep platform, a resource worth $299 if purchased on your own. Students can log in anytime at ontocollege.com using their school email and password. The platform covers ACT and SAT prep with practice tests, video lessons, quizzes, and test-taking strategies. If your student hasn't checked it out yet, encourage them to log in and click around. And if they want a quick walkthrough of what's available, they can stop by my office anytime.
We are still looking for parents to sign up as regular adorers in our chapel at the following times or to be on the sub list. Please email Christine French (christinefrench@skuttcatholic.com) to sign up or get more information. Adoration will run daily from November to May when we have school:
Mondays - over lunchtime (need help 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)
Tuesdays - 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.
Wednesdays - 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.
Thursdays - 3 - 4 p.m. (could use a second parent)
Friday - over lunchtime
As winter weather continues, a quick reminder about our closure procedures: Skutt Catholic makes independent closure decisions — when local media announces "Archdiocese of Omaha schools closed," that typically refers to elementary schools only. If we close, you'll be notified via Infinite Campus (text, call, and email) and our social media pages. Please keep your contact information current in Infinite Campus. Note that we generally stay open during extreme cold since we have no bus routes and few students walk to school, but we will always close when snowfall creates hazardous driving conditions. As always, if you feel conditions are unsafe for your student, you are welcome to keep them home.
Our Spring Sport (boys/girls soccer, boys/girls track, boys golf, girls tennis, baseball) Parent meeting will be on Sunday, March 1 at 7 p.m. in our Performing Arts Center (PAC). We will meet as a large group (all sports) for 25 minutes and then break up by sport! Each athlete should have representation (athletes should not attend, just parents).

We want kids involved! At the beginning of the year, we held an Activities Fair helping our incoming Freshmen identify clubs/activities that might interest them. We are also using our announcement system and google classroom to keep kids informed of upcoming meetings.
For a complete list of all offerings, visit our website: https://skuttcatholic.com/athletics-activities/activities/. Parents and students are encouraged to reach out at any time to gather information about any of our clubs/activities to see if a good fit!
9th Grade One-on-Ones
This week, counselors will meet with each freshman student individually to check in for the semester. Students can find the meeting schedule in their "Class of 2029" Google Classroom folder. Counselors will review course selections from registration forms as well as discuss student goals, overall well-being, and any concerns or questions. If you have concerns about your student, please reach out to your child's school counselor.
Seniors: Turn in your Merit-based scholarships for recognition!
Seniors who are awarded merit-based scholarships from colleges can have those scholarships listed in the Class of 2026 graduation booklet!
