Extended daycare information for Kindergarten - 5th Grade Students

Once school is dismissed your child(ren) will walk to GAD and their teacher will check them into their respective classroom and they will be asked to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer.

We want your child(ren) to have a great time in our extended daycare program while also incorporating some homework time and learning activities.

The teachers will ask your child(ren) 2 times if they have any homework to complete for the day. If your child(ren) does not we will then move to either reading time or they will be allowed to use their Ipads or Chromebook (or laptop) for school approved websites/applications ONLY! We have communicated this information with your child(ren) and this privilege will be taken away if they are browsing other websites that are not permitted.

It is our policy not to “force” children to do their homework but only to give them the opportunity to work on it. The teachers are available to help your child with any questions they may have on their homework, but they do not check them when completed; you need to review your child’s assignments at home.

The following is a description of behavior that interferes with an individual’s rights:
●Disruptive words or actions.
●Intentionally injuring an individual by physical and/or verbal means.
●Defacing or destroying an individual’s and/or school property. Parents/Guardians in cooperation with the school are expected to:
●Support the school’s mission and staff.
●Cooperate with the administration and faculty.
●Actively participate in the child’s academic, social and spiritual development.
●Reinforce Guardian Angel’s policies and procedures.
