Year 8 Whanau

Kia ora koutou,

As you will be aware it is now compulsory for schools to collect vaccination status for all our eligible students (12 years and older). This letter is being sent to you as your child is one of our students who is eligible. I understand that this is a very difficult time and this can be a divisive issue, however I must complete this work under the Direction issued by the Secretary of Education under the Education and Training Act 2020 Schedule 25 Clause 3.

We already have your child’s personal information on our enrolment and student management system, so can pull this information to sit alongside this vaccination data and compiled in our Vaccination Register.

Please complete the google form (click on the link) and where applicable provide us with evidence of vaccination status. The link to the survey is also posted on the school homepage. Evidence of vaccination needs to be in the form of a vaccination certificate from the Ministry of Health (click on the link) or a letter from your doctor. I know these may take time to arrange, so will be giving time for whaanau to get this information.

We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you all in person again soon. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me via email or give me a call.

Ngaa Mihi,

Jo Doyle
