Dr. Bryan Alexander
Keynote: "AI and the University: Possibilities and Revolutions"
Description: Artificial intelligence now confronts academia with a range of possible transformations and threats, often moving at high speed. In this presentation we will start with a big picture analysis of several ways AI may reshape the world, including the economy, geopolitics, and culture. Next, we apply those models to higher education at the strategic level, considering how the technology may impact our institutions. We then focus on how AI might change the Jesuit cura personalis approach to teaching, considering what happens when we seek to care for the whole person through AI mediation.
