In addition to your major requirements, all SJU students are required to complete the Cornerstone Core Curriculum (CCC) program as part of their academic curriculum. The Cornerstone Core Curriculum is the academic cornerstone of the Saint Joseph’s University experience, providing a distinctive liberal arts education in the Jesuit, Catholic tradition. For more detailed information about the CCC requirements, you can view an overview of the Cornerstone Core Curriculum.
If you are transferring to SJU with an Associate's Degree (AS, AA, or an AAS in a health-related field), you will enter SJU as a Block Transfer student and complete a modified Cornerstone Core Curriculum program.
All majors have curriculum worksheets that display the required classes you will take and a semester-by-semester break down of when you should take them. Undergraduate Advising Support will also provide you with a curriculum worksheet illustrating how your transfer credits apply to your curriculum requirements. If you are a Block Transfer Student, your worksheet will also indicate the modified CCC requirements that you will need to complete.
Click the link to find the curriculum worksheet for all majors.
For AP/IB credit, review the SJU AP Equivalency Chart and the SJU IB Equivalency Chart to see required scores and how credits will transfer to SJU. If you completed AP or IB exams in high school, you must request an official report be sent to SJU from the College Board or IB Program in order for your exams to be considered for transfer.
If you have questions related to AP/IB credit, submit a Transfer Evaluation Question form.
