Congratulations on registering for your first semester at SJU! Email sjuadvising@sju.edu to confirm your registration is complete.
Here are a few action items for you to attend to prior to the start of classes on August 25th:
Make final adjustments to your schedule
Transfer students may make changes to their schedule throughout the summer using the Self-Service Course Registration System in the Nest. However, we caution that you should contact Undergraduate Advising for assistance if you are making any significant changes to your schedule (e.g., change of major).
The official add/drop period begins as soon as you are registered and ends on Tuesday September 2nd, 2025. If you intend to make changes to your schedule after you register but before August 18th, you will need to first communicate with Undergraduate Advising Support. After August 18th, you can communicate with your faculty advisor and obtain a PIN to access your registration in the Nest. The name and contact information for your faculty advisor will be available in your Student Profile in the Nest. For more information, please see information on Add/Drop below.
Send final transcripts and exam scores to SJU
If you have not already done so, make sure to send any final transcripts from your previous institution(s) or dual enrollment and any AP/IB score reports to SJU Admissions.
Prepare for the first day of classes
The first day of classes for the fall 2025 semester is Monday, August 25th, 2025.
Be sure to buy your books early! You can view Textbooks and Course Materials needed for your courses on the Students tab of the Nest under Academic Resources. Posting of materials may vary course to course.
View the campus map to get more familiar with the locations of your courses. Practice walking between buildings according to your schedule to feel more prepared for your first day.
All academic dates and deadlines are posted on the Academic Calendar. Watch this video for a brief overview of the Academic Calendar and how to utilize it.
Students will be able to make changes to their schedule during the Add-Drop Period, which is open through the end of the first week of classes on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025 Check the SJU Academic Calendar regularly for important dates and deadlines as the add/drop deadline is different for full-term and second-half 7-week courses.
You will need a PIN to access your registration in the Self-Service Course Registration System in the Nest. Contact your faculty advisor after August 18th to discuss your schedule and obtain your PIN. If you need assistance prior to August 18th, email sjuadvising@sju.edu. Faculty advisors serve as students’ primary resource for advising. Your faculty advisor is listed on your Student Profile in the Nest. If you are unable to reach your faculty advisor, you can reach out to the chair of your department for assistance. Visit our website for more information for the responsibilities of the student, faculty advisor, and Advising staff.
Seats in courses may be limited. Check the course schedule to confirm a course has an open seat and is not restricted before attempting to add/drop.
