Confirm or change your major.
Take the Math Placement test. Once your placement is available you can view it on your DegreeWorks.
Select your language and take the Language Placement exam (if applicable). Once your placement is available you can view it on your DegreeWorks.
If English is not your native language or if you have native-level skills in multiple languages, you may request an exemption to the CCC Language requirement through the Language Placement Survey. If you have any further questions, please contact the Language & Linguistics Department at MCLanguages@sju.edu.
If you have a non-native language waiver, you will instead take one CCC Mission Global Citizenship course. (This substitute course cannot double dip with other CCC requirements, including the Mission Overlay requirement.)
If you completed college level courses while in high school, complete this form to have them considered for transfer. These credits may help inform the courses you take in your first year. Send the official transcript directly from the institution where the courses were taken to admit@sju.edu.
If you completed Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate exams, send official score reports to SJU ASAP so that they can be considered for transfer. These credits may help inform the courses you take in your first year.
Consider participating in the First Year Student Service-Learning Program. Registration for a First-Year Service-Learning course is like registering for any other course with the added benefit of a spring sequence. In this year-long experience, Service-Learning classes become a close community of students through their shared service experiences and in-class discussions. Three hours can change your life! The Athlete Center for Enrichment will offer a registration prep webinar for all incoming first-year Division I rostered student-athletes Monday, June 30th at 6pm. This webinar will offer important tips and advice for your first semester registration. Please check your SJU email regularly for an invite and Zoom link. This Honors Registration Guide - provides an overview of the Honors Program requirements and information about honors course options for the fall semester. It also provides instructions for searching the course schedule for honors courses. In advance of your registration day, identify an honors course (and back-up option) that will fit your schedule and first semester course plan outlined on the registration worksheet for your major.
The Honors Program Faculty will meet with you on Monday July 7th, 2025 at 10am Eastern Time via Zoom to discuss the requirements of the program and to introduce you to the many benefits. The Honors Program will contact participants individually to share more information about participation requirements and to share the Zoom link for the Orientation.
