It has been so nice to be back to school! I love seeing all the teachers and students every morning! The excitement to learn and the innocence of each child is inspiring. It lifts my soul! Collaborating with such a professional staff continues to open my mind to all the great possibilities for our school!
As we enter September, there will be some extraordinary events happening!
Blessed Carlos Acutis will be canonized on Sept. 7th. Blessed Carlos died at the age of 15 in 2006 of cancer. He devoted much of his life to the Eucharist. He created an internet site on Eucharistic miracles. What is great about Blessed Carlos is that he is a true example of a child that our students can look up to. He was interested in the same things our students are, such as sports and technology. To celebrate his canonization, we will gather to talk about the virtue of moderation in which he excelled in and ask the students to wear their favorite sports or gaming t-shirt, jersey, or sweatshirt to school on Monday, Sept. 8th.
