Home and School Officers

The officers meet with the administration on Oct. 20, Jan. 19, and  April 20 at 5:30 in McGuire Hall.  These are open meetings, all are welcome.  Agendas are e-mailed to all families prior to the meetings.

Fundraising:

RaiseRight  Buy a gift card from over 750 brands and the rebate on the gift card immediately goes to SJS.  The scrip is issued by the national and local retailers who want to support non-profit organizations. Extravaganza  A fun evening for adults, dinner, drinks, games, and live and silent auctions.  This event will be held at the Ramkota on November 7th.

School Carnival This is a fun event for children of all ages, games of skill, cake walks, bingo and lunch. 

Book Fair  This event funds the school library and is usually held late November or early December.  Contact Jasper Diegel or Bridget Coopersmith.

Placement of Funds:

-Home & School supplements the school by giving $81,000 to the school budget.  This includes $10,000 that goes to technology. 

-Most years, H&S has a balance of $10,000 as a cushion for the following year if fundraisers don't go as planned.   

-Balance that is above the $81,000 is used for big ticket items that help maintain and sustain the school, such as windows, shades, and flooring.  In the future, plumbing will need to be added to that.
