World Impact is our service component of Confirmation. Doing good work is beneficial whether you are a student or an adult. We want parents to do service right along side their kids. There are two parts.
Serve the Church: We would like both parents and kids to complete at least 5 hours of service at St. John LaLande. We have a few examples listed below but that list is not exhaustive. Feel free to be creative. We would like to see the family coming together to complete these hours but, if they must be completed individually, that is fine.
Serve the World: Please do this as a family. You can volunteer for any service outside of SJL but do it as a family. You have one year to plan and complete some type of service as a family. Be creative, ask your kids what they would like to do, and have fun!

As a family, do some act of service together out in the world.
Helping a neighbor with yard work
Volunteering at a food pantry or soup kitchen
Volunteering at a thrift store
Putting flags on veterans' graves
