The word Advent comes from the Latin adventus, which means a coming, approach, or arrival.
In the Church, it refers to the period encompassing the four Sundays prior to Christmas.
The new church year starts on the first Advent Sunday. It is a time of penance, of turning away from sin and hopeful, joyous preparation for the coming of the Savior.

올해는 온라인으로 주일학교가 진행하게 되며, 첫수업은 9월 13 일에 시작합니다. 수업시간은 매주 일요일 11:30 입니다. We will have online class for this year starting on 9/13 Sunday. The class will start at 11:30am on Sundays.
(Kinder-3rd : 11:30 ~ 12:00, 4th-6th graders : 11:30 ~ 12:15)
먼저 아래 온라인 등록 양식을 작성하신 후, 등록비는 교과서 픽업데이에 체크로 납부해 주시거나, 성당 웹사이트(donate-Sunday school fees)를 이용하여 납부해주시면 감사하겠습니다. 체크에 등록학생 이름과 학년을 꼭 표기하여 주시기 바랍니다. Please pay the registration fee by personal check on the text book pick up day or HKMCC web site (click donate - Sunday school fee) after completing the online registration form first. Please do not forget to write the student's name and grade on the note section of the check.
교과서 픽업데이는 9월 12일 토요일 11:00-12:00 성당 파킹랏에서 Drive-Through 형식으로 진행됩니다. Text book pick up day : 9/12 Saturday at 11:00-12:00 via a drive-through @ HKMCC parking lot.
