The Maritime Academy volleyball team, Great White Shark, clinched a spectacular third-place finish in the 53rd founding anniversary volleyball tournament hosted by the Saint Joseph Institute of Technology, which began last September 27 to November 9, 2024. A close fight between the teams competed because the Sharks were seen very good at their play; their skill and teamwork did everything that led them to the podium and on the third place with full determination to play at the best.ย
This victory brought many bragging rights into the Maritime Academy, boosting school spirit and moving fellow students and other future athletes to emulate this kind of success. The Sharks achievement has become a catalyst for the rest of the Academy as everybody learned that hardwork and teamwork can be a way to continue winning. With their bronze medal in hand, the team is now eyeing future challenges; they are eager to continue building on its momentum and strive for more awesome achievements come the next tournament.ย
Throughout the very close games, the Sharks showed brilliant teamwork and well-planned plays that electrified the whole audience through great spikes as well as excellent defense styles. Each member supported each other through significant situations, therefore creating the best team cohesion that led to great concentration and unrelenting chase for the triumph that eventually earned third place.ย
