Welcome to the FOBISIA Stage Make-Up Challenge, hosted by St Joseph's Institution International Malaysia! 

The FOBISIA Stage Make-Up Competition was founded last year and hosted by the Alice Smith School. It was a huge success with students from across Asia showcasing their technical talent, we were truly blown away! The competition was intended as a platform for us to celebrate the incredible creativity and technical skills that many of the young people participating have taught themselves! 

The make-up industry has experienced remarkable growth over the past century, leading to a significant expansion in the labour market for makeup artistry, stage make-up, special effects and more. Being a make-up artist has become a highly sought-after and rewarding career choice due to the various career prospects and benefits it offers. The popularity of shows such as 'GLOW UP' has given Make-up Artistry a platform to demonstrate both the skills required and the rewards of the career. 

This year we hope to encourage even more young people to participate in the competition and experience the joy that being a MUA offers. The Stage Make-Up Challenge is a chance for them to explore their artistic creativity and celebrate their talent with the rest of the FOBISIA Drama community. 

We are thrilled to announce that this year we have four judges who are professionals in the Make-up Artistry sector here in Asia. Their work is exceptional and has inspired many. They are all very excited to see the work submitted and determine the winners from each category. You can read more about them on The Judges page.
