This society focuses on implementing various creative projects. Within our CCAs, we have been working on collaborative art projects, allowing our society’s members to develop their art skills. We have applied these towards the wider school community, through creating decorations for Neon Fright and painting the art room’s walls. Our society’s CCAs have also been focused around encouraging our members to develop personal expression, by making clay sculptures/artworks. The CCA sessions have proved to be a wonderful opportunity to get to know people from other year groups (with similar interests) and de-stress, an environment which we aim to continue creating into the future. Outside of CCAs, our five student leaders have also been working on advertising various art competitions that have come up, in collaboration with Ms Parker. Additionally, we have also taken on projects such as designing the medals for the LYM basketball competition and setting up the Neon Fright decorations. We recently hosted the Pumpkin Art Smash, and plan to organise future fun events such as these. Most notably, we would like to work with Ms Parker on the EOY art exhibition, and possibly expand it to a charity bazaar where students can showcase their artistic talent for a good cause. We also want to expand our community reach, and will lead an ES rock painting activity in conjunction with World Kindness Day this coming Wednesday.
