The Office of Collaborations is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between St Joseph Engineering College, Mangaluru and Educational Testing Services (ETS) India. The MoU was signed by our Director and Mr Lejo Sam Oommen, Chief Revenue Officer, ETS, India, on 08 April 2024. The primary focus of this covenant is to provide holistic guidance and support to students aspiring to study in leading international universities and help them prepare for the GRE and TOEFL exams. MoU Renewal with Cyclops MedTech Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru

 

Office of Collaborations is pleased to announce the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between St Joseph Engineering College and Equidor MedTech Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru (formerly known as Cyclops MedTech Pvt Ltd). The renewed MoU was signed by our Director and Mr Ajith S Rao, CTO, on 14 March 2024. The main purpose of this agreement is to work towards promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, to share the facilities and resources for academics, research, internship and other mutual benefits. This MoU will be coordinated by Ms Priya Miranda and Ms Jayalakshmi K.P, Assistant Professors, ECE and anchored by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.


MoU with Government Tool Room and Training Centre (GTTC), Mangaluru

St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC) and Government Tool Room and Training Centre (GTTC), Mangaluru, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on March 13, 2024. The agreement, signed by Rev. Fr. Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, Director of SJEC, and Dr. Lakshminarayana CR, Principal of GTTC Mangaluru, aims to impart skill development and skill enhancement training.

Focused on skill development and technological innovation, the MoU offers students of BE exposure to internship and training opportunities. This collaboration seeks to bolster their prospects for placement, providing a valuable bridge between academia and industry.

The signing ceremony was attended by key officials, including Rev. Fr Kenneth Crasta, Assistant Director, Dr Purushothama Chippar, Vice Principal, Dr Shreeranga Bhat, HoD ME, and faculty members from SJEC and GTTC. This event signifies a significant milestone in fostering practical learning and preparing students for successful careers.


MoU with Milagres College, Mangaluru

On March 4, 2024, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Mangaluru and Milagres College, Mangaluru, making a pivotal moment for both institutions. The signing ceremony took place at the SJEC campus in Mangaluru, signifying a commitment to collaboration and partnership. The MoU was formalized by esteemed representatives Rev. Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, Director of SJEC and Rev. Fr Michael Santhumayor, Principal, Milagres College, Mangaluru. The MoU sets forth a shared objective to build friendship and foster a relationship that will promote mutual intellectual exchanges between students, faculty members and administrators of the colleges.

The Office of Collaborations is happy to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor and Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal (KMC) Mangaluru. The MoU was signed by our Director and Dr B Unnikrishnan, Dean, Professor Community Medicine, KMC, Mangaluru, on 30 October 2023. The purpose of this agreement is to promote academic cooperation like exchange of materials in education and research, publications and academic information, faculty as well as research scholars and students. The Office of Collaborations is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Vamanjoor and St. John Technical and Educational Campus (SJTEC), St John College of Engineering and Management, St John Institute of Pharmacy and Research, and St John College of Humanities and Sciences, Vevoor, Palghar, Mumbai. The MoU was signed by our Director, representing SJEC and Chairman and Principals of the respective institutes, on 28 August 2023. The purpose of these agreements is to work with different areas of collaborations between the institutions involving, student-teacher exchange programs, training of students and faculty, sharing of infrastructure and facilities and jointly engaging in undergraduate and postgraduate research activities in cutting edge areas in the fields of sciences and humanities. The Office of Collaborations is happy to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between St Joseph Engineering College and UNIABROAD, Mangaluru, consultant for higher education abroad. The MoU was signed by our Director and Mr Vikas, Founder and CEO, UNIABROAD, on 21 June 2023. The purpose of this agreement is to help ourstudents to get admission to the international universities and aid in expanding  relationships with the universities abroad in the different areas of collaboration. Inaugural Ceremony of German Language Course at SJEC premises

A new feather has been added to our cap. We are pleased to inform about the inaugural of German Language course in the college premises on April 17, 2023 by signing a MoU with Moegling Institute of German language, Mangaluru. The MoU was signed by our Director, Rev Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza and Rev. Prof. Dr H.M.Watson, Director, Karnataka Theological College, Mangaluru in the presence of Dr Anil Kumar, Director, KTG, Mangaluru, Mr Daniel Pandidurai, German Trainer and our Principal Dr Rio D’Souza.

The MoU was also witnessed by Dr Purushothama Chippar, Vice Principal, Mr Rakesh Lobo, HR Manager, Mr Sathyendra Bhat, TPC Head, and Collaborations Officer, Ms Diana Monteiro.

During the inaugural Rev.Dr.Watson explained about the importance of German language in today’s scenarios and jobs openings in German Firms in India. Mr Daniel Pandiduarai, ME, will be the trainer for this course and in the first batch 12 students from across various stream have enrol for the German Language course.

MoU with Indo Universal Collaboration for Engineering Education (IUCEE) & Center for Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship at KLE Tech, Hubballi.

On February 11, 2023, A tripartite MoU has been signed between St Joseph Engineering College - Mangaluru, Indo Universal Collaboration for Engineering Education (IUCEE) and Dr Nitin Kulkarni, Former Director of Center for Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship at KLE Tech, Hubballi. The main goal of this MoU is to conduct coordinated interventions to culturize innovativeness and entrepreneurship on SJEC Campus. The MoU also aspires to translate technologies developed on Campus into world class products and services.

The MoU was signed by the Principal, Dr Rio D’Souza for SJEC, Dr Krishna Vedula, Executive Director of IUCEE Foundation, as well as Dr Nitin Kulkarni. The MoU was signed in the presence of Rev Fr Alwyn Richard D’Souza, In Charge Director, SJEC, Dr Purushothama Chippar, Vice Principal, Mr Rakesh Lobo, HR Manager, Dr Binu K G, Head - Strategy & Planning and Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department and the coordinator of this agreement, all Deans, HoDs, along with the team of Faculty nominated for the implementation of InnoVenture. A discussion followed the signing of the agreement regarding the expected outcomes and process involved in InnoVenture. 

The MoU includes a two-year long plan of action focused on activities that involve students and faculty of SJEC to realize the objectives of promoting innovations and startups on campus. The initiative operates under the aegis of InnoVenture: SJEC Innovation Platform. Dr Rio D’Souza is the Chief Mentor of InnoVenture and Dr Nitin Kulkarni has taken charge as the Program Director. IUCEE will utilize its worldwide network of subject experts to train and mentor the students in their efforts.

MoU with Karnataka (Govt.) Polytechnic (KPT), Mangaluru

As part of a greater emphasis on skill-centric education in which students must be trained and exposed to modern manufacturing processes through SJEC’S AICTE IDEA Lab, St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor, Mangaluru has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Karnataka (Govt.) Polytechnic (KPT), Mangaluru, on 21 February 2023.

The Signing ceremony took place on SJEC campus and MoU was signed by Rev.Fr Alwyn Richard D’Souza, In charge Director at SJEC and Mr Harisha Shetty, Principal, KPT College, in the presence of Dr Rio D’Souza, Principal at SJEC, and Mr Girish Babu, HOD, ME, KPT.

The main goal of this MoU is to assist KPT college faculty and students with training and internship activities on advanced machinery available at the SJEC’s AICTE IDEA Lab, as well as to encourage faculty members from both institutes to jointly develop products through collaborative work under consultancy activities.

MoU with Yenepoya Medical College, Mangaluru

St Joseph Engineering College and Yenepoya Medical College, Mangaluru, Deemed to be University has signed an Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Psychiatry at Yenepoya Medical College, Mangaluru, to organize awareness programmes and other mindfulness programmes on various aspects of emotional wellness among students.

The MoU was signed on Friday 10, 2023, by Rev Fr Alwyn Richard D’Souza, In charge Director, SJEC and Dr Prakash Saldanha, Medical Superintendent, Yenepoya Medical College on 10 February 2023 in the presence of Dr Abhay Nirgude Associate Dean, Dr Anil Kakunje Head, Dept of Psychiatry, Dr Gaensh Kini, Associate Prpfessor, Ms Anjana Joy, Psychiatry Rehabilitation Specialist, Dr Rio D’Souza Principal, Dr Purushothama Chippar, Vice Principal, Mr Rakesh Lobo, HR Manager, Dr Prakash Pinto, Dean MBA, Dr Anjali Ganesh, Associate Professor and Coordinator of the MoU, Ms Preetha Aroza, Campus Counsellor and Ms Diana Monteiro, Collaborations Officer.

This MOU calls for students to be educated on various mental health related issues including stress and anxiety commonly faced by students. Students can call the 24-hour helpline and get immediate assistance from doctors. Furthermore, many students are working on health-related projects, and the Yenepoya Medical Institute can assist and guide them with their expertise in the medical domain.

Office of Collaborations is glad to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between St Joseph Engineering College and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) – Young Indian (YI), Mangaluru. The MoU was signed on 14 October 2022, by our Director and Mr Madhukar Kudva Young Indian Chapter Yuva Chair as well as Mr Guruprasad M, Young Indian Executive Manager, Mangaluru. The primary objectives of this MoU is YI shall motivate and provide opportunities to the students to engage in activities and initiatives that they conceptualize, create reports regularly on their activities to the YI Executive Member and participate in the YI National & Chapter events in other cities like the summit. Office of Collaborations is happy to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between St Joseph Engineering College and Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Deemed to be University, on behalf of Manipal School of Information Sciences (MSIS). Office of Collaborations is happy to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between St Joseph Engineering College and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. The MoU has been signed on 17 August 2022 by our Director, and Mr Chandra Koduru, Head-Academic Interface Programme. The main purpose of this MoU is for designing the curriculum of the Computer Science and Business Systems programme. This curriculum aims to ensure that the students graduating from the program not only know the core topics of Computer Science but also develop an equal application of humanities, management science and human values. The Office of Collaborations is glad to announce the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (Mou) between St Joseph Engineeing College and Tata Power Skill Development Institute (TPSDI) for the period of one year. The Mou was signed on 5th October 2021, by our Principal and Mr Sathish K Mahajan, Principal, TPSDI Shahad. The objective of this covenant is to offer courses of training at TPSDI for bringing about power plant finalization for students undergoing their curriculum and/or desirous of taking the industry certification courses offered by TPSDI. Office of Collaborations is happy to inform that an MoU has been signed with K-tech Center of Excellence in Aerospace and Defence (K-tech CoE A&D) on 18th October 2021. The Mou was signed by our Director and Cmed. CD Balaji, Chairman, K-tech CoE A&D, Bengaluru. SJEC Selected for Leadership in Teaching Excellence (LITE) programme by AICTE

The Office of Collaborations is happy to announce that SJEC is one among the 136 qualified institutes that are selected for Leadership in Teaching Excellence (LITE) programme by AICTE. This comes under National Educational Alliance for Technology (NEAT) programme of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The objectives of this agreement are exploring academic exchange program, internship and higher education opportunities with exempted cost. Certain subjects studied by our CSE and ECE students will be exempted on courses of study and credits earned at SJEC will be directly transferred to the Master Program at BU-MET, thereby saving substantial costs, time and effort for the students. A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between St Aloysius College (Autonomous) and St Joseph Engineering College under the Paramarsh UGC Scheme for Mentoring NAAC Accreditation Aspirant Institutions to promote Quality Assurance in Higher Education. The MoU was signed on 18th September 2019. Under this MoU, St Aloysius College will be mentoring our college in the process of applying for NAAC Accreditation.
