Office of Collaborations is pleased to announce the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between St Joseph Engineering College and Equidor MedTech Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru (formerly known as Cyclops MedTech Pvt Ltd). The renewed MoU was signed by our Director and Mr Ajith S Rao, CTO, on 14 March 2024. The main purpose of this agreement is to work towards promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, to share the facilities and resources for academics, research, internship and other mutual benefits. MoU with Government Tool Room and Training Centre (GTTC), Mangaluru
St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC) and Government Tool Room and Training Centre (GTTC), Mangaluru, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on March 13, 2024. The agreement, signed by Rev. Fr. Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, Director of SJEC, and Dr. Lakshminarayana CR, Principal of GTTC Mangaluru, aims to impart skill development and skill enhancement training.
Focused on skill development and technological innovation, the MoU offers students of BE exposure to internship and training opportunities. This collaboration seeks to bolster their prospects for placement, providing a valuable bridge between academia and industry.

On March 4, 2024, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Mangaluru and Milagres College, Mangaluru, making a pivotal moment for both institutions. Inaugural Ceremony of German Language Course at SJEC premises
A new feather has been added to our cap. We are pleased to inform about the inaugural of German Language course in the college premises on April 17, 2023 by signing a MoU with Moegling Institute of German language, Mangaluru. The MoU was signed by our Director, Rev Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza and Rev. Prof. Dr H.M.Watson, Director, Karnataka Theological College, Mangaluru in the presence of Dr Anil Kumar, Director, KTG, Mangaluru, Mr Daniel Pandidurai, German Trainer and our Principal Dr Rio D’Souza.
The MoU was also witnessed by Dr Purushothama Chippar, Vice Principal, Mr Rakesh Lobo, HR Manager, Mr Sathyendra Bhat, TPC Head, and Collaborations Officer, Ms Diana Monteiro.
During the inaugural Rev.Dr.Watson explained about the importance of German language in today’s scenarios and jobs openings in German Firms in India. Mr Daniel Pandiduarai, ME, will be the trainer for this course and in the first batch 12 students from across various stream have enrol for the German Language course.
MoU with Indo Universal Collaboration for Engineering Education (IUCEE) & Center for Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship at KLE Tech, Hubballi.
On February 11, 2023, A tripartite MoU has been signed between St Joseph Engineering College - Mangaluru, Indo Universal Collaboration for Engineering Education (IUCEE) and Dr Nitin Kulkarni, Former Director of Center for Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship at KLE Tech, Hubballi. The main goal of this MoU is to conduct coordinated interventions to culturize innovativeness and entrepreneurship on SJEC Campus. The MoU also aspires to translate technologies developed on Campus into world class products and services.
The MoU was signed by the Principal, Dr Rio D’Souza for SJEC, Dr Krishna Vedula, Executive Director of IUCEE Foundation, as well as Dr Nitin Kulkarni. The MoU was signed in the presence of Rev Fr Alwyn Richard D’Souza, In Charge Director, SJEC, Dr Purushothama Chippar, Vice Principal, Mr Rakesh Lobo, HR Manager, Dr Binu K G, Head - Strategy & Planning and Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department and the coordinator of this agreement, all Deans, HoDs, along with the team of Faculty nominated for the implementation of InnoVenture. A discussion followed the signing of the agreement regarding the expected outcomes and process involved in InnoVenture.
The MoU includes a two-year long plan of action focused on activities that involve students and faculty of SJEC to realize the objectives of promoting innovations and startups on campus. The initiative operates under the aegis of InnoVenture: SJEC Innovation Platform. Dr Rio D’Souza is the Chief Mentor of InnoVenture and Dr Nitin Kulkarni has taken charge as the Program Director. IUCEE will utilize its worldwide network of subject experts to train and mentor the students in their efforts.

As part of a greater emphasis on skill-centric education in which students must be trained and exposed to modern manufacturing processes through SJEC’S AICTE IDEA Lab, St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor, Mangaluru has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Karnataka (Govt.) Polytechnic (KPT), Mangaluru, on 21 February 2023.
The Signing ceremony took place on SJEC campus and MoU was signed by Rev.Fr Alwyn Richard D’Souza, In charge Director at SJEC and Mr Harisha Shetty, Principal, KPT College, in the presence of Dr Rio D’Souza, Principal at SJEC, and Mr Girish Babu, HOD, ME, KPT.
The main goal of this MoU is to assist KPT college faculty and students with training and internship activities on advanced machinery available at the SJEC’s AICTE IDEA Lab, as well as to encourage faculty members from both institutes to jointly develop products through collaborative work under consultancy activities.

St Joseph Engineering College and Yenepoya Medical College, Mangaluru, Deemed to be University has signed an Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Psychiatry at Yenepoya Medical College, Mangaluru, to organize awareness programmes and other mindfulness programmes on various aspects of emotional wellness among students.

This MOU calls for students to be educated on various mental health related issues including stress and anxiety commonly faced by students. Students can call the 24-hour helpline and get immediate assistance from doctors. Furthermore, many students are working on health-related projects, and the Yenepoya Medical Institute can assist and guide them with their expertise in the medical domain.
