THE MOST UP-TO-DATE CLASS INFORMATION CAN ALWAYS BE FOUND ON GOOGLE CLASSROOM. For due dates, assignments, and resources, students should check their Google Classrooms frequently.
Grading policy:
Late work this year will lose 10% per school day late, to a maximum of 50% deducted. Online assignments that are submitted from home using email or Google Classroom will also lose 5% for each weekend day or school-wide day off. Extensions should be requested before the assignment is due.
Extra credit is built in to all tests and projects for exemplary work. There will occasionally be extra credit opportunities that involve students going places or documenting activities outside of school that relate to a unit in class.
Retakes and test corrections allow students to offer proof of learning from their mistakes. All in-class quizzes can be retaken, typically with slightly different questions, and an initial low quiz grades can easily turn into an A+ if a student learns where they went wrong. Test corrections will earn points based on a student explaining the correct answer and why it is right.
