Begin IXL-students were given individual usernames and passwords for their IXL accounts. This is an amazing program to help strengthen old skills, and introduce new. It will also give them practice for the standardized tests as they are moving to computer based. They will have several IXL assignments a week. Please let me know if your student does not have access to a computer/phone or tablet at home, so we can work something else out.

They were all given their usernames and passwords and can log in at:

We are also starting conduct points next week. Students will get 20 conduct points at the beginning of the week. If they have forgotten their supplies, homework, water bottle etc. they will lose a conduct point. They will also lose conduct points for behavior issues. In addition they can earn conduct points for having work done consistently, helping each other, working well together etc. We practiced this week, and the first day we had a total of about 40 points lost between the 2 classes, all for forgetting things. By Friday, we had 5:). They are quick learners!
Math
Thanks for all the support at home getting the kids up and running with IXL. We have had some hiccups, but I think we are getting on the right track! Practice is so important with building those math muscles, and IXL gives us lots of options to reinforce old skills as well as sharpen new!
