After weeks of research, we finally decided that the most efficient method for aid would be to deliver aid in the form of educational supplementation would be to create a charity, and Brighter Minds Asia was born.
As we are still in the beginning phases of our charity, we have decided to raise funds and then donate them to areas in need. As directly traveling to underprivileged areas was unlikely at best, we contacted and received research provided by Mr. Ham Hyun Seok, the division director of NGO “KFHI”. After receiving this information from Mr. Ham, we decided upon Laos, a moderately sized Southeast Asian country.
Our charity BMA was founded upon the principles of cooperation and collaboration, in the future we hope to continue our actions and partner with organizations with similar goals. Our original goal was to raise USD 4,000. We needed around $2,000 to fund educational equipment for our village in Laos.
