Through my experiences in the Capstone Project, I learned invaluable lessons that I will surely use throughout the rest of my life. Particularly in working as a group, I learned fundamental skills surrounding the ability to work harmoniously as a group of up to five members. I also learned the importance of communication in large projects. As the main Public Relations representative of our group, I came to understand the importance of the use of publicity when it comes to promoting events. Overall, I am very proud of our end product, and I truly believe that the Brighter Minds Asia Charity Run was an overwhelming success. Perhaps most of all, I am really proud of the diversity of the members we were able to draw into our Charity Run. We were able to bring in members from 5 different schools, with participants ranging from 5-60 years of age. We also had runners who were extremely experienced in running charity runs, while also having first-timers who were looking to try new things. The Brighter Minds Asia Charity Run, and the events leading up to, and following it, are memories I will surely keep with me for the rest of my life.
During the project, I learned numerous significant lessons. I mainly discovered how to fundraise and identify the necessary materials. Conducting a marathon with only four members was particularly challenging, highlighting the critical importance of human resources and capital in event management. Despite the lack of time and human resources, I am very proud that our BMA marathon was a success, with 65 participants attending. I also gained meaningful insights after sending the products to Laos, realizing that the capstone project can positively impact both the local community and the world. Beyond the scope of the capstone project, I learned the value of sharing as a fundamental human quality. Overall, I learned valuable lessons about sharing and developed essential skills for fundraising.
Working on this Capstone project was one of the best experiences of my life. I am so proud of the work that I have done throughout the last 7 months. I truly learned how to work well as a group and function well together. The Brighter Minds Asia Charity Run is something that I am incredibly proud to have been a part of.
Overall, I am very proud of the work that I have done throughout the charity run. While there were many setbacks, and I also had to join the group late, I was eventually able to fit into my new group and work together cohesively to make a strong project.
