Topic: Sea
We both are seaside cities: Helsinki - The Baltic Sea, Sitges - The Mediterranean Sea.
What does the sea mean for us? How are we connected to the sea?
What does the sea give for us? What do we want to give back?
Students take photos, short videos(?) (Sitges/Helsinki), create text (Sitges) and music (Helsinki), do sound design (Helsinki), combine elements and present the art piece in Alppila Fest (Helsinki).
In Finland : On Monday 15th of May the students record sentences they have written about the sea. We can use different languages to hear how they sound (Catalan, Spanish, English, Finnish, Swedish, German). Some words or sentences can be repeated… It can become a poem or a spoken word piece, a song. We can add music, waves, wind to the background in the sound design. We present the art piece at our AlppilaFest on Wednesday the 17th of May.
On Thursday the 18th we have planned to visit the Helsinki archipelago (Suomenlinna).
Hopeful outcome:
Students grow to become environmentally-considerate, responsible, happy humans, who can enjoy the sea, the treasures of waters now and in the future
