Artist Zhang Yao Wu was born in Shenyang, Liaoning in May 1964. He graduated from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts with a major in Oil Painting in 1987.
In 1991, he enrolled in the Claude Yvel Oil Painting Drawing Skills Class in Paris. He is a member of Chinese Artists Association and Chinese Oil Painting Society. His oil paintings have been awarded in numerous provisional, national and international art exhibitions. Some of them have been adopted by prestigious institutions like China National Museum of Fine Arts, The Chinese Olympic Committee, Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts as well as numerous private collectors from China, Hong Kong, Singapore and the United States. He has held solo art tours in many metropolitans like Paris, New York, Los Angeles, and Houston.
Mr. Zhang, Yao Wu has been living in Houston since 2001. There he founded the Zhang Yao Wu Art Center and School in 2003.
