Prophecies about the Messiah

(Profecias sobre el Mesias)

In this section you will see many of the prophecies I have found in the Bible that speak about the Messiah. They were written 3,000 years ago or before. Each one starts with the hebrew verse number (book, chapter, verse), followed by the hebrew text, then the translation to spanish and english, and finally the approximate year when it was originally written.

(Spanish: En esta seccion puedes ver muchas de las profecias que he encontrado en la Biblia que hablan sobre el Mesias. Fueron escritas hace 3,000 años o mas. 1. Bereshyt (Genesis) 3:14-15

ויאמר יהוה אלהים אל־הנחשׁ

ואיבה אשׁית בינך ובין האשׁה ובין זרעך ובין זרעה הוא ישׁופך ראשׁ ואתה תשׁופנו עקב

"And said YHWH God to the snake..." 'I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your descendant and her descendant; He will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel.'

"And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham a second time out of heaven... 'In your descendant shall be blessed all nations of the earth because you obeyed my voice' "

נביא אקים להם מקרב אחיהם כמוך ונתתי דברי בפיו ודבר אליהם את כל־אשׁר אצונו

"A prophet I will raise up from among their brethren, like you; I will put My words in his mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hear my words which He shall speak in My name, I will require it of him"

לכן יתן אדני הוא לכם אות הנה העלמה הרה וילדת בן וקראת שׁמו עמנו אל

"Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign: behold, the young virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name 'With us is God' "

"For a child is born unto us, a son is given unto us; and the government is upon his shoulder; He will be named: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, My Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace"

7. Yeshayahu 25:7-8

ובלע בהר הזה פני־הלוט הלוט על־כל־העמים והמסכה הנסוכה על־כל־הגוים בלע המות לנצח

ואמר ביום ההוא הנה אלהינו זה קוינו לו ויושׁיענו זה יהוה

"And He will destroy in this mountain the covering that is cast over all peoples, and the veil that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death for ever..."

"...And it shall be said in that day: 'Lo, this is our God, for whom we waited, that He might save us; this is the LORD"

"Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God He will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped"

"Behold, the former things happened, and new things I declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them"

"Qué hermosos sobre los montes los pies del mensajero voz de la paz, mensajero de buenas noticias, la voz de Yeshua, que dice a Zion: Reina Dios!"

נבזה וחדל אישׁים אישׁ מכאבות וידוע חלי וכמסתר פנים ממנו נבזה ולא חשׁבנהו

"He was despised, and forsaken of men, a man of pains, and acquainted with disease, and as one from whom men hide their face: he was despised, and we esteemed him not"

15. Yeshayahu 53.4

אכן חלינו הוא נשׂא ומכאבינו סבלם ואנחנו חשׁבנהו נגוע מכה אלהים ומענה

"Surely our diseases he did bear, and our pains he carried; and we considered him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted".

"Ciertamente llevó él nuestras enfermedades, y sufrió nuestros dolores; y nosotros le tuvimos por azotado, por herido de Dios y abatido".

16. Yeshayahu 53:5

והוא מחלל מפשׁענו מדכא מעונתינו מוסר שׁלומנו עליו ובחברתו נרפא־לנו

"But He was killed because of our transgressions, He was crushed because of our iniquities: the punishment for our peace was upon Him, and with His wounds we are healed"

"Y El fue muerto por nuestros delitos, destrozado por nuestros pecados, el castigo por nuestra paz cayó sobre El, y por sus heridas somos sanados"

"All we like sheep did go astray, we turned every one to his own way; and the LORD loaded on Him the iniquity of us all"

"Oppressed, though he humbled Himself and opened not His mouth; as a lamb was led to the slaughter, as a sheep before the shearers, He was silent and opened not his mouth"

"Oprimido El y afligido, no abrió su boca y como cordero al matadero fue llevado, como oveja ante los trasquiladores, enmudeció y no abrió la boca"

"For He was cut off the land of the living, for the transgression of my people He was hurt. "

"The spirit of the Lord YHWH is upon me; because He anointed me, the LORD himself brings good tidings to the humble, sent me to heal the broken heart, to call the captives, to free the prisoners from their chains"

"Behold, the days come, said the LORD, that I will raise from David a righteous descendant, a King that shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgement and justice in the land. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely. This is his name whereby He shall be called: The LORD our justice"

"Miren, días vienen, dice YHWH, en que haré con la casa de Israel y con la casa de Judah un Pacto Nuevo"

Behold, the days come, said the LORD, that I will perform that good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah. In those days, and at that time, will I cause a shoot of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

"But you, Beth-lehem Ephrathah, which are small among the thousands of Judah, from you to me shall come to be a ruler in Israel; his sources are from of old, from the days of the universe"

"Rejoice greatly daughter of Zion, shout daughter of Jerusalem; behold, your King comes to you, just and savior, He is humble, and riding upon an donkey, and upon a colt, the foal of a female donkey"

Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the word to restore and to build Jerusalem [1] until the Prince Messiah, shall be seven sevens and seven sixty two [2]"... "And after seven sixty two shall the Messiah be cut off, and no more. And the city and the sanctuary shall be destroyed [3] by the people of a prince that shall come"

[1]. The order to rebuild Jerusalem was given by king Artaxerxes the first day of Nisan (Nehemiah 2:1), that means March 14 of year 445 B.C.

[2]. "Seven sevens and seven sixty two": 7 x 7 = 49 and 7 x 62 = 434. 49+434 = 483 hebrew years of 360 days (which means aprox. 476 modern years). 476 - 445 = 31 A.D.

[3]. The troops of emperor Titus destroyed Jerusalem and the temple around year 70 A.D.
