Composting Tips
☘ Segregate all types of waste as organic, recyclable and reject. Organic waste to be fed to composting kit. Remove any excess moisture
☘ Go for bigger buckets and 2 nos so that enough space is there. More aeration is better.
🍀 Make sure pile is not compact. Balance of moisture. Not too much dry and not too much wet. Like "Oli bhel"
🍀 Get neem powder from gardening shop. Sprinkle once a week, keeps it healthy.
🍀 Once every 2-3 days stir it to allow aeration to all parts of pile
🍀 If too wet add remix, if too dry spray water. Do not pour water just sprinkle.
☘ Semi compost (half done compost) can be added to fresh compost to help composting
☘ Typical cycle takes 30 to 45 days before compost finally matures and can be used for plants
☘ Recycle compost with cocopeat to creat remix
🍉🍉Watermelon - make sure you break big chunks in smaller size before adding to bin. Helps save space and accelerates composting.
