The Dinner Party Project 

On this page you will have the guidelines you need in order to write your 11th grade DIY Project.

The Project is a requirement for your Bagrut. First, You will be asked about your project on the Computerized Oral Bagrut Exam (COBE) and second,  the project's final mark will be a part of your final mark (ציון שנתי).

So, Let's get started..

You can hand in an individual or pair project. The project should be handed on Google Sites platform. The name of your project should be- your name(s) +The Dinner Party Project+Year. Jack Smith -My Dinner Party Project -2023.

Imagine you live in a world in which there are opportunities to travel in time and cross between the centuries so that you can meet or entertain some significant individuals from history. 

One such opportunity has arisen and you and your partner are hosting a dinner party to which you want to invite some special people from the past. The individuals are not alive any more.  They might have been athletes, scientists, artists, explorers, and innovators, writers, politicians or even musicians.

The important thing is that they were notable for a significant social, historical or professional achievements or contributions to humanity, literature, art or science. The following are a number of examples you can choose from: Christopher Columbus, William Shakespeare, Mother Teresa, Janus Korzak, John. F. Kennedy, Mahatma Ghandi, David Ben Gurion, Anne Frank. Or, choose someone from the world of literature that we have studied: George Eliot, Robert Frost, Pearl Buck, Langston Hughes. Then of course, there are scientists: Albert Einstein, Jonas Salk, Crick and Watson, and Alan Turing. There are also artists such as Leonardo de Vinci, Picasso, Matisse, Gris, Andy Warhol or Dali.  Similarly, there have been many classical and modern composers and musicians. Not forgetting there were many athletes. Your range of choice is enormous.
