Yusri Yusup PhD

Hi! Welcome to my web page about my work in the Environmental Technology Program, School of Industrial Technology, Universiti Sains Malaysia. Aside from teaching, I am currently conducting research on water-atmosphere (over a coastal tropical ocean) and land-atmosphere (over an oil palm plantation) interactions using the eddy covariance (EC) method, emission inventory development, and understanding how ground-level ozone change with atmospheric temperature.

I have an EC tower to measure moisture and carbon dioxide fluxes and other meteorological parameters at the Centre for Marine and Coastal Studies (CEMACS, USM) to study the carbon and water cycles of a tropical coastal ecosystem. Also, in a joint research project with the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), I work on examining the net ecosystem exchange of carbon dioxide over an oil palm plantation in Malaysia.

I am an avid user of R (statistical software) and Python (high-level programming language) in my research and work in general. Visit my GitHub page at GitHub to see some of the code I have written. I also conduct training courses on R, and they are listed here.

You can view semi-real-time CEMACS experiment data at the website http://atmosfera.usm.my. Click on CEMACS Daily Report.
