Yun Yang

Biography

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Maryland, College Park. Previously, I was with the Department of Statistics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I received my B.S. in Mathematics from Tsinghua University in 2011, and obtained my Ph.D. from the Department of Statistical Science at Duke University in 2014.

Research interests

Bayesian inference, data-driven optimization, high dimensional statistics, machine learning, nonparametric statistics, optimal transport and sampling algorithms.
