I have been a middle school volunteer for close to 20 years, and have the privilege of ministering to 100+ middle school students alongside more than a dozen other volunteers and staff. I have had various different roles as a volunteer, from being a small group leader, upfront speaker, as well as the lead person planning and running the games. In addition to being a full time volunteer, I am a husband to my beautiful wife who also volunteers alongside me, a father to my 3 wonderful daughters, and I work full time. If you work with students whether as a pastor, teacher, volunteer, or youth worker, then you should be able to relate to the fact that it can be very demanding at times.
Most of us in this day and age run very busy lives, and most of us wish to give others the best we can provide, or we wish to excel at something. Unfortunately we have to make sacrifices to be successful. Well, that is exactly why I created this site. To provide a resource that allows you to provide great games without having to spend lots of time or effort at a low cost. I also know far too well that eventually something has to give. Not all of us are fortunate enough to have the resources, time, skill, or other volunteers to help you. Either, you are spending quality time with your students at the cost of low quality games or activities, or you may have great ideas for games or activities, but are unable to give your best to your students. Or perhaps it is your family that suffers. Something has to give.
Everyone has something they enjoy or do best. But not everyone has the time. Game creation is what I enjoy and do well. My desire and goal is to do what I enjoy, so that I can help others have more time reaching out to students, hanging out with them, mentoring them, and teaching them. The game content I provide on my site will hopefully allow you to do just that. The less time you spend on coming up with game ideas, the more time you will have to spend with your students.
