RUMI 101 : ‘The Universe in You’

ABOUT THE COURSE :

SUBJECT:  The Universe In You is an interactive seminar exploring the Self and the Universe via the poetry of Rumi (with help from other mystics & philosophers).

Through Rumi's core concepts of Lover and Beloved, we will delve into fundamental questions such as Who are we? Why are we here? and How can we live a more joyous life?

FORMAT:  Each week a new poem will be presented, in three forms : the original Persian, a transliteration, and a translation in English.

Through guided discussion, the group will then explore the possible meanings and messages that each poem carries.

The discussion will be  in English.

There is no prerequisite.

Seminar and discussions are directed by Omid Arabian.

SCHEDULE:  Tuesdays,  7-9 pm Pacific Time

DURATION: The course will run through end of June,  with breaks for Holidays, etc.

LOCATION: Online via Zoom

TUITION PER PERSON:   $895  [for 36 classes, 2 hrs each class]

PLEASE NOTE:  We do not provide for one-class try-outs.
