ABOUT THE COURSE :

This is an ongoing course exploring the Self and the Universe via the poetry of Rumi .

Through Rumi's core concepts, we will delve into fundamental questions such as Who are we? Why are we here? and How can we live a more joyous life?

This is NOT a literature class - it is a course about mystical & spiritual ideas, and their practical applications in our daily lives.

FORMAT:  

Each week a new poem will be presented, in three forms : the original Persian, a transliteration, and a translation in English.

Through guided discussion, the group will then explore the possible meanings and messages that each poem carries, and find ways to use them for insight and guidance in our everyday experience.

The discussion will be in English.
