Doosan started producing diesel engines for the first time in 1958. The production facility is in Incheon, Korea and went into full production under the license of MAN technology in 1975, and ISUZU technology in 1979. Furthermore, Doosan began to produce the CNG engine in 1998 so it reinforced line up from Diesel engine to Natural Gas engine could supply more choices and meet the various needs of the customers. Doosan has three sites in Korea: an engine production facility, two foundry shops producing cast components in Incheon, and an engine R&D facility in Kunsan. The Incheon engine shop has an annual capacity of, 30.000 units for small engines, 24.000 units for medium, 15.000 units for large engines. The Incheon foundry has an annual capacity of 50,000 tons. The business organization is divided into five groups: Commercial vehicle engines, industrial engines, marine engines, generator engines and materials group.
