Little Bunny's Choices: A Mandarin story video made with Go!Animate to provide contexts for young heritage Chinese learners to comprehend the importance of saying good words, in the hope of encouraging them to put the humanistic education they receive into daily life practice. This learning tool, together with its supporting curriculum, won the excellent award in the competition of Creative Model for Teaching Mandarin, held by Overseas Compatriot Affairs Commission, R.O.C.(Taiwan) (2011).
Lesson on Chinese Words of Measurement: A Flash-based learning material that I integrate different types of visual affordances to construct relevant contexts for learning Chinese words of measurement. It's learner-paced and has re-usability; learners can not only learn the definition and character of the units but also the pronunciations with the hanyu pinyin.
