I am an applied microeconomist with a focus on the economics of education and labor economics. My work pursues two main objectives. The first is to understand the causes of attainment and skill gaps by race, gender, income, and immigration status. The second is to evaluate a range of education policies for their effectiveness in improving academic outcomes and closing existing disparities.

In 2016/17 I am on the academic job market and will be available for interviews at:
  • APPAM fall research conference in Washington D.C. (November 3-5, 2016)
  • RES job market meeting in London (January 3-4, 2017)
  • AEA annual meeting in Chicago (January 6-8, 2017)
