General Assembly Meeting Thursday, October 16th
The Yujin Gakuen Parent Teacher Organization (YGPTO) is a diverse group of parents, guardians, teachers and administrators dedicated to our children’s well being. The PTO supports the creation of an environment where each of our children can reach their individual potential.
The YGPTO is here to support our students, teachers, and school community. Everything we do is aimed at enriching the educational experience and strengthening the connections between home, school, and the wider community.
Here are some of the ways we make a difference:
Fund Programs & Events – We help cover the costs of field trips and student activities so every student can participate, regardless of financial barriers.
Plan & Host Cultural Events – From Kodomo no Hi (Children’s Day) to Oshogatsu (New Year’s) and more, we plan and execute events that celebrate Japanese culture and bring our community together.
Support Teachers & Classrooms – We provide funds and supplies for classrooms, helping teachers get the materials and tools they need to inspire and teach effectively.
Build Connections – We create opportunities for parents, teachers, and students to connect through meetings, family nights, and volunteer activities.
The PTO needs your time and talent to meet its goals and maintain its programs. The easiest and most basic way to support the PTO is to become a member and attend meetings. We also need our members to volunteer to chair our committees, help plan and run festivals and events, volunteer during UO Ducks game days, and help out around the school and in the classrom.
Joining the Yujin Gakuen PTO is simple—and free!
To become a member:
Fill out our Membership Form – This helps us keep you informed about meetings, events, and volunteer opportunities. (You don’t have to volunteer to be a member—joining just means you want to stay connected.)
Stay Involved – Regular members are encouraged to attend PTO meetings, share ideas, and participate in events whenever possible.
Why join?
Be the first to hear about school events and programs.
Have a voice in PTO decisions and planning.
Support teachers and students through your involvement.
You don’t need to commit a lot of time—every member strengthens our school community just by being part of it.
