AIWA AV-D30U Receiver Repair
Today I installed a new optical encoder in a stereo receiver I bought last week from Doug at eCyleit. http://www.goecycleit.com It needed an optical encoder replaced on it. I bought the replacement encoder from Digikey. Bourns part # PEC16-4020F-N0024
Last night I finished up making a branding iron for marking woodworking projects for a friend. It is CNC'ed out of aluminum. I used F-engrave to do the toolpath planning. F-engrave seemed to want to only do a single depth so I just bumped the knee up 0.025" after each one until I got to the required depth. The Shiz did a great job of roughing the block out. It shot a 12" stream of chips when cutting at 2000RPM 1/2" deep at 10ipm. The charts say it should be able to cut at 20ipm. I have since learned that F-engrave now does multi-pass cutting on newer versions of the software. This will make it go much faster in the future.
