  • 06/2015 Stephen attended the MOOSE & Application training workshop at INL.

  • 06/2015 Dr. Lu attended 2015 NCAT Professor Training Course at Auburn. The course provided 40 professional development hours.

  • 06/2015 Dr. Lu's research team gave an exhibition at Discover Center of Idaho focused on "FIZZYOLOGY: The Science Behind Bubbles". This research outreach activity is designed to educate local K-12 students with STEM.

  • 05/2015 Clementina joined Dr. Lu's group as a REU student in summer 2015 supported by Boise State REU program in Materials for Energy Storage and Sustainability.

  • 05/2015 Dr. Lu attended the 5th International Symposium on Nanotechnology in Construction (NICOM5), at Chicago, IL.

  • 10/2014 Dr. Lu attended the 14th ASCE International Conference on Engineering, Science, Construction and Operations in Challenging Environments at St. Louis, MO.

  • 07/2014 Dr. Lu attend 2014 PCA Professor Workshop at Skokie, IL. The course provided 40 professional development hours.

    • 05/2014 Congratulations! Four undergraduate students from Boise State University (3 from Materials Science & Engineering and 1 from Civil Engineering) are supported by 2014 NIST SURF program.

  • 03/2014 Dr. Lu attended the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Spring Convention at Reno, Nevada.

  • 03/2014 Congratulations! Stephen is selected to attend the the summer school in University of Wisconsin - Madison on Transformational Technologies in Molecular Simulations with financial support. This workshop is sponsored by NSF fund and it's quite competitive to receive financial support.

  • 07/2013 Dr Lu attended the 4th Cement division conference --- 4th Advances in Cement-based Materials: Characterization, Processing, Modeling and Sensing. http://ceramics.org/meetings/4th-advances-in-cement-based-materials-characterization-processing-modeling-and-sensing.

    • The 4th Cement division conference is hosted July 8-10, takes place at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Cements 2013 is co-organized by the Cements Division of ACerS and the Center for Advanced Cement-based Materials.

  • 05/2013 Dr. Lu received a full travel support to attend the Cyberinfrastructure for Atomistic Materials Science (CAMS) 2013 Summer School on Simulation of Complex Microstructure in Materials. It is to be held at the University of Florida in Gainesville on May 20-24. http://cams.mse.ufl.edu/

  • 04/2013 Dr Lu submitted an abstract for the ACerS/ACBM Cements Division meeting July 8-10, 2013 at the University of Illinois. The talk is only 15 minutes plus 5 minutes for discussion, so I will have to be brief. It is a good meeting – This is my first talk for the ACerS/ACBM conference. Well, it must be a good one.

  • 03/2013 Dr Lu received an INVITATION: FHWA EAR Program Workshop on Multi-Scale Material Modeling, April 23-24, 2013, McLean, VA. So I will be show up at the multiscale materials modeling workshop as a new academic professional.
