Teaching Philosophy

There is a Chinese proverb “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” In my teaching experience since my graduate school, I have strived to teach my students to “fish” – to make sensible economic and financial decisions on their own for their lifetime. My philosophy of teaching one to “fish” is to develop the student’s interest, confidence, intuition, and vision.

My ultimate goal of financial education is to improve my students’ lifelong financial well-being through teaching them how to make informed decisions and to practice conscious financial management.
