The present is the sum of all the time and events that have passed, a network of chains or branches that stretch back to a root source. We must know where we come from to know where we are and where we are going. Specifically as regards Homo Sapiens, our news today is a consequence of a complex mesh of events reaching back to the beginning of civilization. Some distant events or myths still affect the present, while others do not. To try and explain the societal causes for global warming, the global war on terror, the Cuban missile crisis, the Jewish Holocaust, African American slavery, and other key and pivotal events in history, it is often necessary to go back to find the causes of the causes. Chronologically and spatially visualizing the dynamic flow of various cultures and their coming together and apart and the impact on the planet as a whole, we can construct a comprehensive understanding of the past, and how not to repeat it, or to rediscover things which should have not been forgotten.
Most interesting among the distant events that still have a disproportionate effect on todays people is the story of the ancient Israelites and Egyptians. Witness the modern nation state of Israel and the pyramid on the current US 1 dollar bill. All modern conflicts between the two aside, what is the cause of the cause of these tensions and troubles?
Individuals or groups need or want to succeed, often at the expense of another, so economics is cause of environmental, technological, religious, and racial development, conflicts, and concerns. This is biologically hard wired and goes back to the simplest of organisms and 'scarcity of resources' is often the driving factor for cooperation, competition, and conflict. In our species case, due to civilization and the consequent technology, we are able to overcome limitations and grow resources, and there is and was the potential that this 'scarcity of resources' could be reduced as the root cause of conflict. Why then was the 20th century the bloodiest century on record if we had advanced irrigation to grow food in the deserts, radios, and atomic energy, etc.? Myth or religion plays an important role, as does race or culture, but the economic disparities between rival groups was and is most crucial.
At the basic level there is a duality. To cooperate or compete. To civilize or forage. From the hunter gatherers to the modern urbanites this duality exists and always has. More specifically perhaps there should be a careful examination of the duality that evolved between the ancient Israelites and the Egyptians because echos of this still ring loud today.
The duality of the two river systems. The blue and white Nile rivers flowing north to the mediterranean sea, and the Euphrates and Tigris rivers flowing south to the arabian sea. They almost meet at the sinai peninsula. Their sources are the great lakes region in Africa and the anatolian plateau in western Asia respectively. In the early bronze age (4000 bce) these rivers were the source of the first civilizations. Where there is fresh water, there is agriculture, and from food security all other attributes of civilization arise. Did the people come from up river to settle in the delta regions? It seems so. Like the water flows to the sea, so too do people. In the case of the Africans, they came from the south west, in the case of the Asians, the north east. At present there is ample evidence that points to a primate ancestor originating in Africa and then moving into Asia long before civilization began. Needless to say the roots in Africa are closer to the source. After many thousands of years had elapsed, when the two cousins met again on the sinai, one had been transformed.
It seems that environmental factors caused the northern group of Hominids to become pale and savage, while the southern group was dark and relatively civilized:

The question:
Is the "Golden age of phoenicia" coinciding with the "bronze age collapse" just a coincidence?
The hypothesis:
Around 1650 BCE there was a concerted effort to destroy Egypt, the most advanced civilization at the time. Thereafter all the treasures, material and intellectual, were stolen. The beneficiaries of this act of sabotage changed the accounts of history to reflect their view that Africans as a whole were primitive and animal like. The beneficiaries took the the opposite view of themselves. Who are these beneficiaries and what evidence is there that this is what happened?
