I am currently a Lecturer in Mobile Robotics at the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leeds. Previously, I worked at Dyson as a Senior Robotics Research Engineer and served as a post-doctoral researcher in the Statistical Machine Learning and Motor Control Group led by Prof. Sethu Vijayakumar at the University of Edinburgh. My research focuses on applying control, optimization, and machine learning algorithms to generate dynamic movements for legged robots. I earned my PhD in Bioengineering and Robotics from the Italian Institute of Technology and the University of Genoa, Italy, under the supervision of Prof. Darwin Caldwell and Dr. Nikolaos Tsagarakis. My interest in legged robots began during my master’s thesis with Dr. Christine Chevallereau at École Centrale de Nantes in France.
