Skis for bike

My Best

A man in Gardnerville had a business selling the little triangle to convert a bike to a skibike one takes on chairlifts. He sold me the rectangles to bring the unit as tall as a tire.

Where he found it best to lower the bike and had no need for the rectangles he sold on to me, I need the full height to match the tire on the back. I can not find anywhere to buy a rectangle, box, or any way to adapt these triangles to a full size bike. However this works so well it is the bench mark for all my other attempts.

6.5 lbs vs. 10lb 26 fat front wheel (20" fat is 7.3 lbs) (29er Ice Spiker 6.45 lbs.)

Lenz

Lenz has the triangle like what I use but again, no rectangle:

Bike Boards

Ski is too wide, but with the right ski might work on the front. The straps are not providing enough resistance to the torque of leaning in and loading it up.

3.95 lbs. bikeboard plus 6.45 lbs 29er wheel plus .34 lbs wire replacing straps which is light years better, but not perfect like the dedicated ski set up.

It has to be carried on the bike and that was not as easy as I had hoped.

Fat Bike Skis

He stopped returning my emails. However this is the best bet for plug and play as well as a high end solution.

Ktrak

has a ski that comes with it. The track was crap, but I do hope to try the front ski someday soon. Looks heavy but is light.
