Thule Easy Fold XT

I am old and week, but I am not dead yet.

Esk8 review by grumpy old man with flip phone went over like a lead balloon. However bike rack review by “rich lady who can actually afford your damn product” will touch on important design criteria. As a redneck slinging wrenches I was able to make an ebike that can back flip a cornice, slalom turn a couloir, and power back up for a second run, but making Francesca and her ebike independent is still a work in progress.

Enter the Thule rack with a ramp to the US market and Electric Bike Review of said rack. Towards the end the dudes go “oh yea, you can use walk assist to get up the ramp.” but don't actually do it. For the old lady who can actually afford the product, this is more than just a “oh yea...” it is the only way the bike is getting up there. Old lady testing testing shows the walk assist on all ebikes are not equal. Some are not strong enough to get up the ramp, and no tire I have gets traction on polished aluminum. When the bike just sits there and the tire spins a laymen might ask: “did the engineers try this before sending it to me?” The ramp is so narrow it requires precision to stay on it. The average US lady is 5'4” and can find once the bike is up there, it is so high one can loose control and the bike can roll off the end or tip on top of you.

A little grip tape takes care of the traction if you are not strong enough to push. Practice has made her better with the narrow unforgiving ramp and balancing act once up there. However it really needs a stop like the ramp I made for my 1up homemade ramp. These are not conclusions, testing has only just begun and Francesca is not a sponsored test pilot. She is not even a willing test pilot. But this rack might actually work to make her independent.
