A Voiceless Monologue Amidst the Architecture of War
A surreal and provocative experimental short that explores the history of human conflict through the most fundamental tool of communication: the human mouth. By isolating the mouth in an extreme close-up, the film strips away the identity of the speaker, turning the act of speech into a raw, rhythmic, and visceral performance.
There is nothing on the screen but a mouth—a singular, voiceless vessel uttering at a ferocious, unrelenting pace. As the film unfolds, the viewer is submerged in a breathless soundscape of war. The film begins at the onset of conflict, tracking the mouth as it stubbornly attempts to articulate inner feelings against the encroaching darkness. As the war reaches its extreme, the mouth and the film follow in a synchronized descent into the sublime and the absurd.
