Iniziamo attestando che l’opera Depopoliamo dell’artista Renato De Paoli, residente a Vicenza ma con

origini e vicissitudini veronesi, ha una particolare importanza, non solo perché decreta un eccellente punto

d’arrivo delle sue ricerche artistiche, socio-culturali, e attiviste ma diventa manifesto programmatico della

mostra-progetto itinerante Art Pass, svoltasi tra Vicenza-Urbino-Milano, promossa da Paolo Apolloni e

Giovanna Giusto, con la collaborazione di Giancarlo Lepore e Catuscia Bucci, e la Galleria Celeste,

inserita nei progetti internazionali di Universal Love Project. L’aspetto ancor più straordinario è che la

simbologia segnica semplificata ma incisiva, libera e coraggiosa di quest’opera, dove la pittura applicata

liquidamente sopra a una base/supporto plastico di un cartellone pubblicitario/commerciale, di cui

permangono e in cui vengono riutilizzati gli stessi stilemi, amplificandone l’effetto visivo dissonante,

sposa perfettamente i concetti chiave delle nostre linee etiche e di ricerca di senso dell’essere, e del

progetto di Art Pass, profondamente contestualizzato in questo momento storico, politico e sanitario in

cui viviamo. E Universal Love Project accoglie e diffonde questi contenuti fin dalla sua fondazione,

perché essi appartengono a una vera ricerca d’arte contemporanea, umana, spirituale e sociale, non

allineata a leggi o dettami politici ed economici di mercato.

De Paoli si dimostra un artefice profondamente ispirato dagli ambienti più stigmatizzati in cui viviamo

oggi e sa riassumere, in pochi gesti spontanei, tutte le potenzialità di cui l’arte contemporanea necessita, e

che spesso sembra aver smarrito, o non più in grado di determinare, coraggiosamente, un vero linguaggio

catartico e leggibile a tutti.

Nell’arte di Renato forse quest’opera è in grado di riassumere e sintetizzare tutte le sue esperienze, già

caratterizzate dall’uso di supporti e materiali pubblicitari e di riuso, saggiamente conditi da segni e pitture

istintive ma calibrate. Sintonia ed essenzialità di segno-simboli-supporto, potrebbero decretare i parametri

critici più mirati all’opera Depopoliamo. Poi l’aspetto delle vicissitudini/accadimenti legati a quest’opera

superano la sua stessa ironia costitutiva di fondo. Si perché Depopoliamo fa da capofila nelle tre sedi

espositive itineranti e, tra un allestimento e l’altro, esattamente tra la seconda tappa, lo smontaggio a

Urbino e la spedizione-trasporto in direzione Milano, l’opera si spezza in due, per un effetto strano e

imprevedibile di errato appoggio/imballaggio, o più probabilmente uno strano colpo d’aria improvviso..

una rottura che però non è completamente catastrofica: un taglio abbastanza regolare che si è verificato in

una posizione che lo rompe orizzontalmente, di tre quarti, oseremmo dire quasi all’altezza del

punto/misura aurea (o punto ottico). L’artista, in sintonia con noi, informato dell’accaduto, contestualizza

l’evento ironicamente come facente parte di una perenne lotta artistico-mediatica, a cui fanno capo i

progetti e gli sforzi stessi di Universal Love e di Art Pass, più spiritualmente una lotta tra il bene e il male,

uno scontro tra verità e menzogne diaboliche e pianificate, onnipresenti ormai a ogni livello-ambiente. E

pur nella nostre piccole e ridotte possibilità di diffusione e risonanza, se messe a confronto con i poteri

occulti imperanti, anche quest’opera forse disturbava troppo le malefiche e martellanti campagne

mediatiche ormai globali.

Potremmo poi aggiungere ancor più simbolicamente ma fortemente ispirati dai sentori provenienti anche

dai testi apocalittici, sempre con ironia e coraggioso sarcasmo, che ora gli spiriti infernali son stati sciolti

e proliferano in ogni luogo e dove; questo è difficile da negare poiché certe giornate l’aria sembra farsi

veramente pesante, e tutto sembra esser sempre più strumentalizzato e negativizzato, da chi fa capo, e

coda, a questi progetti di morte, annunciati dagli stessi autori del deep state-nuovo ordine mondiale, da

cui questi piani ufficialmente partono. Niente paura comunque! Se questi sono gli ultimi tempi

apocalittici, poi il dragone infernale sarà incatenato per almeno altri mille anni, è sono già annunciati cieli

e terra nuovi, dove scorre latte e miele, le terre promesse dall’Amore Universale.

Il messaggio che la mostra vuole veicolare è quello oggi molto attuale della salvaguardia dei diritti umani e dell’integrità della persona, contro ogni guerra. In tal senso, il contributo che l’arte e la cultura possono dare, è e resta di fondamentale importanza per far crescere la sensibilità e la consapevolezza dei cittadini. Nelle opere che De Paoli espone in questa occasione assume grande rilevanza l’attenzione verso i diritti inalienabili sanciti dalla Costituzione della nostra Repubblica, in particolare quelli espressi testualmente nei primi articoli dedicati ai principi fondamentali, e alla Dichiarazione Universale dei Diritti Umani adottata dall’assemblea generale delle Nazioni Unite.

La bellezza dell’arte – si legge nelle note che accompagnano l’iniziativa – è chiamata ad assolvere un compito di indagine e sulla verità e sulla giustizia, anzi rimane forse l’ultimo baluardo per una ricerca di senso, attraverso un atto coraggioso e creativo. La bellezza dell’arte è ancora il mezzo che può riattivare quelle sinergie che possono fare dell’umanità ancora un “Giardino dell’Eden”, in un mondo ritrovato dove il significato più autentico della bellezza è indissolubile dai significati del Vero e del Buono.

Tra gli artisti le cui opere saranno in mostra a Vicenza ci sarà anche Paolo Apolloni, titolare della galleria Celeste. All’inaugurazione farà seguito una serata conviviale in compagnia degli artisti. In seguito, dal 18 al 26 giugno, il progetto si sposterà ad Urbino.

Artista, scrittore e poeta, De Paoli ha collaborato con numerosi professionisti dell’architettura e dell’urbanistica, specializzandosi in restauro architettonico a Vicenza sotto la guida, tra gli altri, di Franco Barbieri. E’ stato coordinatore di sicurezza e responsabile dei beni storico-artistici di Vicenza. Ha pubblicato due raccolte di poesie, un diario fotografico, una breve storia della civiltà fluviale veneta oltre a cataloghi d’arte. Ha esposto le proprie opere in numerose mostre collettive e personali. Di recente ha realizzato una serie di cartoline artistiche come tributo alla città di Vicenza che ritraggono alcuni tra i più suggestivi scorci della città patrimonio dell’Unesco: piazza dei Signori con la Basilica Palladiana e la Torre dei Bissari; piazza delle Erbe vista dall’arco degli Zavatteri; i quattro libri dell’architettura di Andrea Palladio.

Pictorial compositions gathered in a single dazzling fabric of luminous colors, evoking an intense feeling - we read in the criticism -. Renato De Paoli (René da Sparè) is an eclectic and multipurpose character. Artist, writer and poet, he has worked with many architecture and urban planning professionals, specializing in architectural restoration in Vicenza under the guidance, among others, of Franco Barbieri. He is security coordinator, responsible for the historical and artistic heritage of Vicenza. Lecturer in training courses for the conservation and enhancement of the historical architectural heritage in Bologna, and in Vicenza. With his Edar editions, De Paoli published two collections of poems - Poesis '99 and Le sete ave marie, a photographic diary - The diary of the moons, a brief history of the Venetian fluvial civilization - In the time of the Goddess - in addition to catalogs art and other publications. In more recent years he has exhibited his works in numerous exhibitions, both collective and personal.

Last year De Paoli presented to the public a series of artistic postcards as a tribute to the city of Vicenza. Postcards by artists depicting some of the most striking views of the UNESCO heritage city: Piazza dei Signori with the Basilica Palladiana and the Torre dei Bissari; the church of the Servants with the Venetian calendar and heraldry; piazza delle Erbe seen from the arch of the Zavatteri; the four books of Andrea Palladio's architecture.

De Paoli was born in Sparè Isola sul Menago (Asparetto Cerea Verona). As a child he attended the many art shops of his "Isola": Sparè sul Menago. Son of art by his father Paolo-Paolino and his mother Rosa, he learns the art of wood restoration of the reproduction of art furniture. In his tavern the inspiration is under the auspices of the master Segattini who has filled the "ostaria" of works. In the summer he attends the art workshop of the master Loris Barini, and learns lacquering-gilding. He collaborates assiduously with Nicola Silvestrini di Nogara, progressing also in photography and architecture. He knows the work of the master sculptor Costantini of Caselle near Nogara. The exhibition opened these days at the Cafè Mi e Ti, anthology of the painter Renato

"RENATO DE PAOLI".

Veronese by birth, but Vicenza by adoption, hides behind a look always pleasantly "improvised", an authentic and versatile artistic vein.

Sitting with him talking, I am kidnapped by the amount of things that magically manages to extract, gesticulating, from his bag: postcards, sketches, reviews, catalogs of his works. My eye rests on two curious fishes, which bite inexorably and are sealed in a treble clef, while precise signs, outline pleasing glimpses of the city.

Female figures, with soft strokes, blend and blend harmoniously with the architectural aspects of her drawings.

Rigidity and softness, masculine and feminine principle, blend with mastery in his works. His immediacy and his sympathetic nonconformity capture the interest.

His works mix different objects and techniques, wisely used, that seem to print, glue or paint in its basic materials: canvases, postcards, cards, cardboards, billboards, stolen sometimes to the quiet of the historic center of Vicenza. In the Quaternary geological period, the presence of Homo Sapiens left traces of rock engravings. At the sites that have come to light, numerous graffiti are present on planet Earth, in the caves and along the stone sides of the mountains. They represent the reality of daily life, pastoral, agricultural with symbolic figures.

Renato De Paoli wants to transmit to posterity, the essence of his works, imbued with cultural education and imaginative ideas, which are in part suggested and elaborated by the complex structure of his DNA. Epigenetic Art is the Personal exhibition of painting letters and poems that De Paoli exhibits at The Dreams Caffe in Vicenza. Panels and boards of various sizes enliven the walls, are painted with brightly colored shades, the brushstrokes are decided almost impulsive, in stark contrast to the stylized drawings with lines and curves, in black and white that reveal memories of an experience. Among the favorite symbols of the author, there are faces and female figures and in presenting some friends and artists, he grants suggestive corners of the historic center of Vicenza.

. it is condensed the patience of a Carthusian, the voice of a poet, the expertise of an architect, the synthesis of a historian. The beauty of Renato De Paoli emerges from the merger of everything.

They range from the classical composure in the succession of basilica uffizi torre palazzo ... to the enchanted look on the roofs, poetically sung after having them for months or years kept under the watchful eye from their workplace. It then runs to the "temple to live" by Andrea Palladio, the Rotonda, almost pedantic in the writing of plants and raised if not enlivened by decorative sketches and the frame of villas created by the Renaissance genius and scattered over the Veneto territory, by the youth of Poiana Greater than that of maturity in Maser. Pianto: colore cola sulla tela

spruzzi di bianco accendono il buio

di terra e cielo mentre di rosso

si traccia cupo il volto sconvolto oltre

il reticolo di segni oltre il visibile

perché al sentire amaro al singhiozzo

muto sia data voce un tempo

di ansia per l’uomo che non ha capito.

Ed è un fremere di nocche una nenia

di viscere che aggroviglia colori

tavolozza a scandire il dramma coltre

che dischiude la scena in terra magra

intrisa di sudore oltre il confine

dove al cielo subentra il dolore eco

di parole inascoltate di richiami

alla vita che sia di meraviglia.

Ma dalla tela cola colore ancora

di grigio slavato a raccogliere anime

di blu in una ciotola che è limite

nuovo margine che rassicura ansa

e via moto d’acqua che ravviva

la zolla dura che rincuora l’arida

manciata di sabbia che scava l’orrido

di pietra nel solco nuovo, di Dio.

Le composizioni pittoriche di Renato De Paoli esposte in una sapiente e ordinata mostra in un elegante angolo di Corso Fogazzaro ( che, ormai, pedonalizzato da un lustro e reso salottiero dalla pavimentazione in porfido , dovrebbe diventare la via degli artisti nelle molteplici accezioni) non è da ravvisarsi in singole opere, bensì in un unico prezioso tessuto smagliante di luminosi colori, evocante un intenso sentire. Sono i colori della gioia, della nostalgia, della tenerezza,certamente i colori della vita personale dell'originale e imprevedibile pittore qual'è Renato De Paoli, è peraltro in quel tessuto , già a prima vista che si accendono i nostri turbamenti, le nostre sensazioni. Infatti Renato De Paoli, nel tratto pittorico e nella creazione dell'immagine ,è delicato, morbido; e sembra offrire un suggerimento, sembra cercare un dialogo.

Così figure come le case, appena tratteggiate, le creature vegetali e animali appena accennate, i volti ( tanti i volti femminili) appena abbozzati , penetrano in meandri della nostra memoria,toccano corde della nostra emotività. In realtà, nella pittura di Renato De Paoli, è l'immediatezza del segno, sicuro e fluente che ci coinvolge; è la iridiscente luminosità delle trame , tese su tavole povere (talvolta veri e propri cartoni raccattati) che ci cattura sorprendentemente e piacevolmente. Può sembrare un innocente , divertito, giocherellone fanciullo Renato De Paoli, di converso egli svolge un discorso pittorico denso di suggestioni che giungono da lontano e suscitano una polifonia di accordi che ci accomunano nell'umana nostra vicenda. Insomma, un artista originale e inquieto, che non racconta solo sé stesso, ma racconta anche le esaltazioni, le paure, le speranze di tutti noi.
