Home Inspections - I have experience Inspecting homes of many types:
Old Homes- all the effects of aging and modifications/repairs of varying quality over time, we have many 80 to 100 year old homes in this area.
New Homes- modern materials, heavier insulation, tighter construction, all can cause potential problems, a whole knowledge area now called Building Science. Many people think a new home doesn't need an Inspection, you would be surprised at how many times I find signifcant issues.
New Siding Materials- Manufactured Stone Veneer, Synthetic Stucco, Hardboard Siding and Trim, all of these materials require different knowledge and experience
Swimming Pool Inspections- My building specialty was building indoor pools and their enclosures. This is where I picked up much of my specialized plumbing, electrical, and heating and cooling knowledge. These indoor pool rooms were highly mechanized with advanced plumbing systems, complex electronic controls, and dehumidification equipment (similar to the heat pumps used in many of our homes).
Commercial Inspections- I have inspected many types of commercial buildings. Club house buildings and their pools are a particular specialty.
Horse Barn Inspections - As a dedicated horse person, I know what is involved in horse barn construction. I have personally modernized and expanded my own horse barn.
