Frequently Asked Questions
Question: I have upgraded to SketchUp 2013 and I do not see the Wudworx toolbar anymore after copying over the plugin, what should I do?
Answer: This seems to be happening with Windows OS and seems to be a glitch with SU. to resolve this do the following:
Quit SketchUp if running
Move SketchUp 2013 \plugins\wudworx\wwxtool.rbs to your desktop (temporarily)
Start SketchUp. SketchUp will complain that it cannot load the Wudworx plugins - that is expected and is OK. click "ok"
Quit SketchUp
Move wwxtool.rbs from your Desktop back to SketchUp 2013 \plugins\wudworx
Start SketchUp. Wudworx Toolbar should be now available for use.
Question: I am using Windows OS and have upgraded to SketchUp 2013 and I am getting "Permission denied" errors from SketchUp when trying to use the Wudworx plugins, what should I do?
Answer: This is a windows file permission issue that usually happens when copying files/folders from other locations (copying SketchUp-8 plugins folder into SketchUp 2013 for example), but depending on your OS configuration could happen even with regular install of plugins. To resolve this issue with Wudworx plugins please do the following:
Using Windows explorer, go to your SketchUp 2013\plugins folder
right click the "Wudworx" sub folder and click "properties"
in the "General" tab, uncheck "Read-only" attribute
in the "Security" tab, click on "Edit" right under the "Group or user names" section
click on the "Users" in the "Group or user names" in the new window that opens, and check "Allow" "Full control" in the lower pane of the window - all "Allow" checkboxes should be then checked (ON/Enabled/Selected)
Click "OK" to get back to the "Properties" window
Click "OK" again to save settings. if asked if you would like settings to be set for sub folders and files, click "OK", or "YES"
Start SketchUp and Wudworx plugin to verify issue is resolved
