Welcome to the Course Site of Writing 307: Professional Writing. This course engages professional communication through the study of audience, purpose, and ethics, and rhetorical problem-solving principles are applied to diverse professional writing tasks and situations.
In this course, students will engage in professional practices and learn to respond to challenges in a flexible manner, and also work with a variety of professional genres that are frequently encountered in the workplace. By the end of the semester, students will be able to:
· Analyze audiences and situations
· Manage a sustained, multiple product project
· Work collaboratively
· Design and produce texts and graphics
· Conduct basic usability testing
· Develop effective oral presentations
