From 1 September 2008 to 31 August 2009, I was with the Fixed Access Division of Bell Labs, Alcatel-Lucent Bell N.V., Antwerp, Belgium, as network architect. Activities included research, collaboration, project monitoring and publishing in the context of two projects, namely

• • Celtic initiative Rubens: measurement-based admission control

  • (in the sense of Grossglauser)

  • STREP FP7 project ECODE: profile-based accountability

  • (involved machine learning with, in my case, HMMs)

We wrote two patents, titled:
